🔺 Where In The World. Baylor track & field opens their national championship season today with entries in the United States, Nigeria, and Jamaica for both current and former Bears competing all over the world.

Who’s competing and where will they be? We’ve got you right here…

🇺🇸 Mariah Ayers (200m), Kamden Jackson (200m), and Matthew Moorer (400m) will compete at the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field for a chance to qualify to this year's World Athletics Championships. Gary Moore Jr. is the only Bear in the U20 competition and is entered in the shot put, discus throw, and hammer throw competitions.

In addition, former Bears Trayvon Bromell (100m), Wil London III (400m), Aaliyah Miller (800), and KC Lightfoot (pole vault) will all compete at the senior championships en route to an entry at the World Championships.

🇳🇬 Imaobong Uko will race in the 400 meters and will be followed by Nathaniel Ezekiel in the 400-meter hurdles in the Nigerian meet. The two will head to Lome, Togo, shortly after for the CAA Region II Seniors Athletics Championships in the 4x400 for a chance to qualify to the World Athletics Championship.

🇯🇲 Ricquan Graham is schedule to compete in the 100 and 200 meters, Demar Francis in the 400 meters, and Gontse Morake in the 400-meter hurdles.

🔺 Serve’s Up. Baylor volleyball is bolstering its coaching ranks with the addition of Jorge Penate as the team’s second assistant coach. Previously, the Los Angeles, California native served as the Director of Operations & Analytics with Houston volleyball. Prior to his time with the Cougars, he was the Technical Coordinator for Cal volleyball in Berkeley.
